Have Questions About My Sessions or Offerings?
FAQ’s below
What can I expect at the first session?
Prior to your first session, you’ll complete an intake form that helps me understand your health history, current concerns, and goals. In our time together, we’ll go deeper through discussion and Ayurvedic assessment—exploring patterns in digestion, lifestyle, and overall balance. I’ll also look at your tongue, body structure, natural postures, and take a pulse reading. As time allows, I will guide you through a gentle movement assessment to see how your body responds. Between this session and our next, I’ll spend 4–6 hours analyzing your findings to create a clear path forward tailored to your individual needs. When we meet again, we’ll review your report of findings and co-create a plan for moving forward.
What are the next steps after a session?
Within 1–2 weeks of your intake, we’ll meet again for your Report of Findings + Treatment Plan session. During this appointment, we’ll review your unique constitution, current imbalances, digestive strength, and the state of your vital essences.
You’ll receive a comprehensive document with Ayurvedic education, your constitutional and imbalance profile, key findings, personalized recommendations, and a long-term plan for balance, nourishment, and sustainable wellbeing.
In this session, we’ll also identify realistic first steps and explore the kinds of support you need to make your plan accessible, empowering, and achievable.
What can I expect in follow up sessions?
In follow-up sessions, we’ll begin by checking in on how you’re feeling and any changes you’ve noticed since our last meeting. We’ll revisit your Ayurvedic recommendations—such as nutrition, lifestyle, herbs, or daily routines—as well as any yoga, breath, or mindfulness practices, making adjustments to fit your current needs.
Each session builds on the last, refining your plan as your system shifts. Some sessions may focus mainly on updating your plan, while others may include guided movement, breath, or meditation to support you. You’ll always leave with updated guidance and simple practices to carry with you until we meet again.
How often should I plan to meet with you?
My short answer is–it depends. Once we are past the intake and on to follow up sessions, we could meet anywhere from weekly to every 6 weeks, depending on your needs.
In general, I find people to be most successful when we meet more frequently at the beginning of our work together (usually biweekly), and then space our sessions out over time. Of course, everyone is different and this completely depends on what feels most supportive for you. I have clients who have been seeing me once a week for years because the accountability feels supportive to them. Frequency of sessions can always be a conversation we have that shifts and changes as your needs change.
How quickly will I see results?
Amble Wellbeing understands that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligations for work or My short answer–it depends. My longer answer–everyone is different! Your current health, lifestyle, and how consistently you’re able to integrate recommendations all influence results; however, never underestimate the power of a small shift and its greater impact on your digestion, sleep, nervous system, etc. I believe that making small changes over time is how we create larger shifts sustainably. Ayurveda and yoga are not quick fixes, but gentle, sustainable approaches designed to restore balance and resilience over time.
How much do sessions cost?
Intake sessions last 1.5-2 hours and cost $200 (this is a one time appointment)
Report of Findings + Treatment Plan Sessions last 1-1.5 hours and cost $150 (this is a one time appointment)
Follow Up Appointments take 60-75 minutes and cost $110
Do you offer sliding scale or reduced-rate options?
Because accessibility is a core value in my work, I offer a limited number of reduced-rate spots for those in need. To sustain both myself and my business, I’m only able to offer a small number of these at a time. Thank you for your understanding.
What is a sliding scale?
A sliding scale is a tool of creating accessibility for people based on their individual circumstances and “represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services/care/etc.”
To learn more, I encourage you to read this article or reference the infographic below for help discovering where you fall on the sliding scale.
What is your cancellation policy?
Amble Wellbeing understands that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligations for work or family.
If an appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, you will be responsible for the full amount of the session. This policy is strictly enforced, but in an effort to be accommodating for illness, the fee will be waived if you are able to reschedule within the same calendar week; otherwise, a full charge will be applied. A no show occurs when an appointment is missed without prior contact to inform the need to reschedule. All no show appointments will be responsible for the full amount of the session and will be required to prepay for all following appointments. In the case of repeated late cancellations, prepayment may be required as well.
What if I don't live in Knoxville?
That’s ok! I have virtual clients who live in various cities. Please contact me about setting up a virtual session.
What kinds of recommendations might I receive?
Recommendations might vary from from adjusting the spices you cook with, to incorporating a morning self-care ritual, to exploring specific breathing practices, and much more. Every suggestion is tailored to your unique needs, interests, and capacity, so your plan feels supportive and realistic for your life.
What is Ayurvedic Health Counseling?
Ayurvedic Health Counseling is a supportive, educational process that helps you understand your unique constitution and current imbalances through the lens of Ayurveda, India’s traditional system of holistic health.
Together, we look at your diet, lifestyle, daily routines, stress patterns, and overall wellbeing to uncover the root causes of imbalance. From there, you receive personalized guidance—such as food and lifestyle recommendations, herbal support, and mind-body practices—that fit your real life. The goal is not to impose rigid rules, but to empower you with tools and awareness that help you feel more balanced, resilient, and at home in your body.
How can Ayurveda help me?
Ayurveda can support a wide range of concerns, including digestive issues like IBS, bloating, or heartburn; hormonal imbalances; fatigue; stress; anxiety; and so much more. But it isn’t only for those with a diagnosis or a long list of symptoms—it’s also for anyone who wants to feel more connected to themselves, more in tune with the rhythms of their body and the world around them, and more equipped to navigate life with steadiness and clarity.
What makes Ayurveda powerful is its deeply individualized approach. No two people are the same, and your care shouldn’t be either. Ayurveda helps uncover the why behind what you’re experiencing, getting to the root of imbalance rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed or burnt out, navigating hormonal shifts, struggling with digestion, or simply curious about why certain foods, seasons, or stressors throw you off, Ayurveda can help illuminate your patterns and offer personalized, practical tools for lasting change. It’s not about quick fixes or trends—it’s about building sustainable habits that create balance, resilience, and ease in your daily life. At its core, Ayurveda invites you into a deeper relationship with yourself—and that is one of the most empowering things you can do.
Do I need to have experience with yoga or Ayurveda before working with you?
Not at all—come exactly as you are, with as much or as little experience as you have. My role is to meet you where you are and guide you step by step, offering practices and insights that feel accessible and supportive on your journey toward wellbeing.
How do Ayurveda and Yoga work together in sessions?
I truly believe Yoga and Ayurveda were never meant to be separated. Ayurveda offers tools for nutritional support, lifestyle practices, daily rhythms, and herbal guidance, while Yoga provides tools through movement, breath, and meditation. When combined, they create a holistic approach to wellbeing—supporting body, mind, and spirit in an integrated and sustainable way.
What is Yoga Therapy, and how is it different from a regular yoga class?
Yoga Therapy is a personalized, one-on-one approach that uses the tools of yoga—movement, breath, meditation, and relaxation—to support your specific health needs and goals.
Unlike a regular yoga class, which is designed for a group, yoga therapy is tailored just for you. Our approach also takes into account your Ayurvedic report of findings, including your constitution (prakruti) and current imbalances (vikruti), so each practice is designed to help you find balance.
Whether you’re working with stress, chronic pain, mobility challenges, or simply wanting to deepen your wellbeing, sessions are always adapted to your body, abilities, and circumstances, with a focus on healing and accessibility rather than performance.
Can I still work with you if I’m on medication or under a doctor’s care?
Yes. Ayurveda and yoga are meant to complement—not replace—your medical care. I do not diagnose conditions or prescribe medications, and I always encourage you to continue working with your healthcare providers. Our work together focuses on supportive practices—such as nutrition, lifestyle, herbs, movement, breath, and mindfulness—that can enhance your overall wellbeing and help you feel more balanced alongside your medical treatment.
What if I have injuries, chronic illness, or mobility challenges?
You are absolutely welcome here. Ayurveda and yoga are meant to be adaptable for every body and every stage of life.
All recommendations—whether nutritional, lifestyle, herbal, movement, or breath—are tailored to your unique situation, with your safety and comfort as the priority.
Movement practices are always designed to support your individual needs. My role is to meet you where you are and help you discover accessible, sustainable ways to support your wellbeing.
Will you give me a strict diet or ask me to give things up?
My approach is never about rigid rules or taking away everything you love. Ayurveda looks at how your food and daily habits affect your unique system, and together we’ll explore small, realistic shifts that bring more ease to your digestion and overall wellbeing.
Sometimes that means adding supportive foods or routines, and other times it’s gently reducing things that may be contributing to imbalance. My goal is always to help you feel nourished, balanced, and empowered—not restricted—because Ayurveda is about finding joy and sustainable balance, not deprivation.
